UFFIE MINE

Nine years after releasing her last album, Uffie made an explosive comeback earlier this year with a brand new record titled Tokyo Love Hotel, and barely pausing to take a breath, she has given us another track to sink our teeth into. Evoking all the sexiness and spontaneity of summer, ‘Mine’ is a sumptuous take on electronic pop. Uffie forged this track with friends Imad Royal and Rogét Chahayed, who collectively condensed their talents into under three minutes of murky synths, deathly beats and an addictive alternative hook, all of which reflects that feeling of When someone gives you those middle school butterflies from across the room,” as Uffie tells it. It’s a playful piece of pop seduction, and boy, we are enthralled. - Hannah Thacker
